Dr. Angela Cancel is a trauma-focused therapist and transformational guide who works with high-achieving adults and BIPOC clients navigating complex trauma, chronic stress, and emotional exhaustion. Proudly Afro-Puerto Rican and born and raised in the Bronx, her work is grounded in cultural awareness, resilience, and a deep respect for the ways trauma lives in both the mind and body.

As a licensed clinical social worker and founder of Lotus Psych LLC, Dr. Cancel specializes in trauma-focused therapy, inner child healing, and EMDR. She helps clients who appear “high functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside, supporting them in healing past wounds and reclaiming a sense of wholeness and ease.

With advanced degrees in social work and public administration and decades of professional experience, Angela blends clinical expertise with warmth, clarity, and practical tools. She offers an affirming, empowering space where clients can heal deeply, reconnect with their inner strength, and create lives aligned with their values.
